Stockholm part 3
As our course on inshoe medical devices came to an end, I really want to congratulate Karolina, Björn, Mitra, Dariusz, Sinar, Helen and Lena for the fantastic work they did in this intensive 5 week course on biomechanics and orthotic therapy!
PJ, my main man, as always it was an absolute delight, but you know this…
Now, an extra couple of days to visit the wonderfull city of Stockholm, drinks and good food…
Life can be so wonderfull…jihaaa!

A taste of indulgence
Early birthday times for me and the missus. One of our common splurges is the joy of a great cup of coffee…
We threw everything overboard, and bought ourselves a brand new Citiz. 16 different Grand Crus of the Nespresso family are a joy for the taste buds! The taste of a cup of coffee has never been so diverse. Even our first ’crema’ production was just ecstatic!
Now it’s just sitting back, relax, and enjoy…

me wishing ya pleasant holidays

My sweet Annabelle on the left and brave Mattias on the right
they indeed are my angels…
- To all a fantastic ending of 2008
- pleasant holidays
- a booster start-up 2009
And for all ya bookbusters out there, wishin’ ya’ll a funky exam period, keep up the good work, and if the mojo gets low -stick your head out and BREATHE! give them braincells some oxygen!!!
My new toy: Glofiish X800
I’ve bought myself a new toy. An E-ten Glofiish X800 should be my all-in-one telephone, agenda, microsoft office desk. With his 500Mhz processor and a screen resolution of 640 x 480 pixels it’s a diamond in the palm of your hand.
Allround krachtpatser
Bramboraky
This one is going to make my mum SOOOOO jealous!
After a hard days work, a good old Bramborak or potato pancake is another goody I got to eat. Combined with a cold one it is a perfect closing of the day. here in combination with the classical tomato/onion/vinegar salad.
recipe can be found here
cheers!
Hopdovody and pork chop in paprika sauce
Another Food post! When you look at the picture, you can see the typical HOPDOVODY (translated as ‘jump in water’). They are actually made on the same base as when making a bread, only – instead of baking the dough, you make small balls with a spoon or use a hopdovody-tool and drop the dough balls in boiling water. Together with the pork chops and paprika sauce, a filling great meal! Mother in law tip: the balls sink to the bottom of your cooking pot, when they float on top, they are ready!
chlebicky – (pronounced: chlebeechky)
In our food series this week a few words on the famous czech chlebicky! The opened faced cold sandwiches with an astonisching artistically arranged topping like ham, salami, hard-boiled egg, lettuce, cheese, tomato, mayo, mustard, pickles and many more, spoils your tastebuds!!!! Accompanied by a giant pot of tea with lemon and sugar makes the daily stress go away with every bite/sip you take.
Super Veggie Crunchy Cauliflower
As promised, another highlight of fantastic Czech food. Today, we had cauliflower with a crunchy jacket (coating with breadcrumbs) and plain cooked potatoes.
Accompanied by tomatoes, onion and a light vinegar dressing, this dish is light and easy to digest. To make it at least a bit less healthy, you can throw in a spoon of tartare to dip your potatoes.
Funky Turkey Surprise Rolls
HEAVEN… a beautiful thing! For me, being close with family, good weather and … Fantastic Czech Food! The coming forthnight, I’ll be bringing you the cooking art of my mother in law. Lucky me, my wife Katerina has her cooking skills after my MIL. So read and look at the mouth-watering pictures.
Today, I’ll introduce you to the Funky Turkey Surprise Rolls. I named them this way, because they look like ordinary turkey, but when you open them up, and by every bite you go further, different ingredients and colours pop up!
What’s in there: smoked ham, mustard, pickles, Paprika and other ’salad-like’ stuff, scrambled egg, pepper and salt, cheese. All of this is put on a Turkey breast and then rolled and stuck together with a couple of toothpicks. Together with some Basmati Rice and a sauce based on onion, soya-sauce, herbs and then thickened with flour, this was a divine dinner.
I hope you are at least a bit jealous?
I’ll keep you posted!
